Rotate and flip
Fix orientation, straighten a composition or mirror a photo with simple rotation and flip controls.
How to rotate or flip an image in 3 steps
Open the image
Choose a photo and check its displayed orientation. The browser preview is the starting point for the edit.
Set rotation and flips
Choose a rotation angle and enable horizontal or vertical flipping as needed. For an angled rotation, choose transparency or a solid background for the new corners.
Check and download
Apply the edit, compare the result with the original, then export in your preferred format.
Straighten a photo or create a mirror image
A small rotation can level a horizon. A 90-degree rotation changes between landscape and portrait orientation. Horizontal flipping creates a mirror image, while vertical flipping turns the composition upside down. Check text, logos and asymmetric objects before using a mirrored result.
Try it with your own files
Rotate a sideways image by 90°, mirror a composition, or use a small angle to straighten a horizon.
Know the limits
Arbitrary rotation expands the canvas. Transparent corners are available in compatible output formats.
Private image editing on your device
Your images are opened and processed in your browser, not uploaded to a server. The website downloads the code and assets it needs to run, and some tools download a processing model. Those requests do not contain the photos you open. Download your results before closing the page; working images are not kept between visits.
Read our Privacy PolicyFrequently asked questions
Why do corners appear after rotation?
Rotating by an angle other than a right angle expands the surrounding canvas. Those corners need transparency or a background colour.
Can I rotate and flip together?
Yes. Rotation is applied before flipping in this operation. Inspect the preview to confirm the intended direction.
Can I remove the empty corners?
Yes. Add a Crop step after rotating to trim the expanded canvas, or keep transparent corners in a compatible format.
