How to blur or pixelate a photo in 3 steps

Choose the effect
Open an image and select Blur or Pixelate. With no regions selected, the effect applies to the whole image.
Draw the areas
Use Draw area with a rectangle, ellipse or freehand shape. Add or adjust regions and tune the strength while checking the preview.
Inspect and export
Apply the effect, inspect the edited regions and export a new image. Keep your original for any future changes.

Draw a blur region with your mouse

A rectangle suits a straight-edged area, an ellipse suits a rounded detail, and a freehand region follows an irregular shape. Regions use image-relative coordinates so the selection scales with the image. Add multiple regions when distractions are separated rather than covering the whole composition.

Private image editing on your device

Your images are opened and processed in your browser, not uploaded to a server. The website downloads the code and assets it needs to run, and some tools download a processing model. Those requests do not contain the photos you open. Download your results before closing the page; working images are not kept between visits.
